Established since 1952, Visko-Teepak is the largest company in the casing packaging industry. The merger between Visko and Teepak in 2007 provides a large selection of packaging products casing and are more varied. Based on a combination of raw materials, Visko-Teepak can meet the needs of all different types of packaging, with the aim to produce optimum function, consistency and ease the process of stripping diameter. Visko-Teepak casing products have been certified in accordance with international standard ISO 9001. Visko-Teepak also meets government regulations for security environment in accordance with ISO 14001 certified. Halal and Kosher Certificates have also been issued by the competent institutions. Products from Visko-Teepak composed of cellulose, fibrous, and polyamide with a wide range of choice variants: color, permeable / impermiable and selection of coatings and has a diameter size of the smallest to the largest.
The casings is produced from natural raw materials derived from long fiber paper and cellulose, namely fibrous casings and cellulose casings. Both types of casing are non-edible casings which are used for various sausages: Frankfurters, Hotdogs, and other processed sausage products. The consistent quality of the sausage casing ensures uniformity of the diameter, length and weight of the sausage. The casings have permeable characteristic to absorb the smoke and vapor. Wienie-Pak cellulose casings are an excellent product and is known by the term ‘skinless casing’. Wienie-Pak cellulose casings have various types, namely clear, color printed, multi-colored, logo printed and UV detector.
In 1994, a company was formed and a factory built to produce plastic casing products and in 2004 Visco, S.A. De C.V. built in Mexico to increase production types of food grade plastic casings.
